LaGrange- Earlene Barwick Howell, 79, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Burial will follow at Princeton Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Howell was born in Wayne County on March 13, 1938 to the late Major Earl and Mary Carr Barwick.  She was the wife of the late Benny Ray Howell Sr.

She is survived by two sons, Timberly “Tim” Vann Howell (Cindy) of Fremont and Benny Ray Howell Jr. and wife, Tracie of LaGrange; two daughters, Kimberly Synger and husband, Rich of Dudley and Lynnette Howell and husband, Tim of Pikeville; one sister, Elnora Brogden of Pikeville; ten grandchildren, Richie, Jessica, Ashley, Katlyn, Joshua M., Corey, Joshua H., Jamie, Mary Katherine and Julie; nine great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Cindy Potter.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
