David Hardy Wallace, 65, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Burial will follow at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home and other times at 100 JJ Lane in Goldsboro.

David was a veteran of the United States Army where he received many decorations including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. 

He is survived by his mother, Adele C. Wallace; two sons, Terry Wallace (Tammy) and Randy Wallace (Stephanie); one daughter, Adele Sissy Wallace; three brothers, Junior Lee Wallace, Marty Wallace (Teresa) and Ronnie Wallace (Catherine); two sisters, Theresa Wallace Myers and Brenda Schultheis (John); and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lee Wallace Jr.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
