Damon "Butch" Quick, 59, of Seven Springs passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at his home.
A service to celebrate Butch's life will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
Butch was born in Ft. Walton Beach, Eglin AFB, Florida, the son of Leon W. Quick, Jr. and Gwyndoline S. Flint. He was a well-known individual in the new and used car businesses, both in sales, finance and management. Over his lifetime he worked with various dealerships in the state.
His wife, Maryanne B. Quick and his father preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Gwyn Flint and his children, Crystal L. Helmick and fiancé, Mario Brickhouse Jr., Ashlen Danielle Pooler and her husband, Howard, Haley G. Quick, Billy Quick and girlfriend, Sarah Elizabeth Kemp and J.D. Quick; six grandsons, Christian Quick, Ayden Quick, Howie Pooler, Wyatt Pooler, Jensen Pooler, Landon Hines and three granddaughters, Leigha Helmick, Skyler Quick and Nellie Quick; his siblings, Larke Herring and husband, Chuck, Debbie Whetsell and husband, Ray and Rusty Quick and wife, Lori and a special unnamed friend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
