Fountain- Carl “Rawhide’ Thomas Brock, 71, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at home.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Brock was born in Pitt County on January 17, 1947 to the late Otis and Sadie Morgan Brock. He was a member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church in Farmville. Mr. Brock was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Sanderson Brock; one daughter, Jennifer Jones and husband, Chad of Walstonburg; two step-sons, Lee Hill and wife, Janet of Kinston and Kevin Hill and wife, Michelle of Kinston; one step-daughter, Karen Domingez of New Bern; four brothers, Ray Brock of Smithfield, Robert Brock and wife, Linda of Greenville, Larry Brock and wife, Linda of Bell Arthur and James “Cricket” Brock of Farmville; two grandchildren, Carson and Cassidy Jones; step-grandchildren, Kristina Garcia, Amber Bolick (Brandon), Tiffany Hill, Garrett Hill and Tyler Hill; step-great grandchild, Bristol Kate Bolick and one on-the way.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
