Carl Haywood Andrews Sr.

Carl Haywood Andrews Sr., 90, of Pikeville passed away Monday at home.

Homegoing services will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Barry Stallings officiating.  Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Wendell.  The family will receive friends Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Andrews was born in Wake County, NC on October 25, 1928 to the late Edd Otis and Nellie Wood Andrews.  He was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church where he served as past deacon.  Mr. Andrews was a charter member of the Goldsboro Rescue Squad and Goldsboro Fire Department.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 71 years, Doris Jones Andrews; one son, Haywood Andrews and wife, Marie of Dudley; two daughters, Elaine Andrews of Goldsboro and Barbara Andrews Brewer of Harrisburg, NC; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
