Barbara Ann Penny Pate, 62, of Pikeville passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

No formal service will be held.

Mrs. Pate was born in Pitt County on March 2, 1955 to Sybile G. Penny and the late Eugene W. Penny.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Gerald U. Pate; her son, Tony Pate; her daughter, Kelly Pate; her step-son, Gerald K. Pate and wife, Hope; two brothers, Rodney Penny and wife, Joy and Marvin Eugene Penny; and her sister, Carolyn Pate.

Mrs. Pate was preceded in death by her father, Eugene W. Penny and two brothers, Richard Earl Penny and Howard Penny.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
