Alice Gale Sasser, 70, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Pikeville. Interment will follow at Silas-Pike Cemetery in Pikeville.
Born and raised in Wayne County, she was an active member of Pikeville First Baptist Church where she was serving as secretary & treasurer. Gale worked for many years and retired from Whitley Insurance in Fremont.
Gale had a passion for cooking, but her first love was for her boys, grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is survived by a loving husband of 55 years to LG Sasser; three sons, Larry Sasser and wife, Ronda of Fremont, Lynwood Sasser and fiancé, Brenda Kearney of Pikeville and Brian Sasser and wife, Sarah of Fremont; grandchildren, Dustin Sasser of Pikeville, Daniel Sasser and fiancé, Amber Tyndall of Pikeville, Brittany King and husband, Scott of Winston Salem, Johnathan Sasser of Fremont and Karley Sasser of Fremont and Danny Spencer and girlfriend, Camille Stocks of Stantonsburg and four great-grandkids; two brothers, Garland Pike of Pikeville and Cedric Pike of Richmond, VA. and one sister, Alma Ellis of Wilson.
In addition to her parents Nathan and Ethel Pike, Gale was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Peele; step-grandson, Mike Spencer.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
