Tracy Hobbs, 50, of Goldsboro passed away suddenly Thursday morning, September 30, 2021 at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids while setting up a service that would be held later that afternoon.
He was born in Wayne County on November 22, 1970 to Earl and Justine Williams Hobbs of Goldsboro. Tracy was a Customer Service Representative with Arnold Wilbert Vault Company for over 17 years. His dedication to the funeral industry including funeral homes and the families they served was genuine and will be greatly missed by all.
Viewing will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 from 4 until 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Diggs Cemetery, Watery Branch Church Road in Stantonsburg.
In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Stephanie Purnell Hobbs; one daughter, Alexius Purnell of Goldsboro; one brother, Milton Hobbs of Goldsboro; one sister, Regina Hobbs Lofton and husband, Tony of Georgia; three grandchildren, Anthony, Aiden and Abri Purnell; his father and mother-in-law, Stephen and Peggy Williams of Goldsboro; his brother-in-law, Stephen Williams Jr. of Goldsboro; his Arnold-Wilbert family as well as countless funeral home providers throughout North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many dear friends.
