Russell Clayton Raines Sr.

Russell Clayton Raines Sr., 59, of Princeton passed away on Monday, September 07, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  A private graveside service will be held.

Mr. Raines was born on November 12, 1960 to the late Harold Franklin Sr. and Sarah Valentine Raines.

He is survived by his three sons, Adam Clayton Raines and wife, Rebecca of Princeton, Russell Clayton Raines Jr. “Rusty” of South Carolina and Allen Raines and girlfriend, Maria of Missouri; two daughters, Loretta Ann Medlin and husband, Dwight of Princeton and Rebecca Ann Raines of West Virginia; two sisters, Renna Van Heel of Goldsboro and Debbie Burch and husband, Tim of Goldsboro; ten grandchildren, Amber Medlin, Jayden, Olivia and Haley Raines, Waylon and Harley Raines, Aiden and Cheyenne Raines and Michael and Mitchell Raines and one great-grandson, Elijah Medlin.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Raines was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Raines and one brother, Harold Franklin Raines Jr.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
