Pastor Charlie Wayne Simpson

Pastor Charlie Wayne Simpson, 77, of Fremont went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, May 5, 2023 at his home.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Road in Raleigh with visitation prior to the service at 1 p.m.

Pastor Simpson was born in Lake Wales, Florida on January 23, 1946.  He was the son of Alfred Owen Simpson and Nona Jo Stembridge Simpson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Dorothy Charlotte Mason Simpson; three children, Denise Koogler and husband, Kenneth, Craig Simpson and Chad Simpson; his brother, Ricky Simpson; his sister, Jo Simpson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Professional services are entrusted to Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
