Master Sergeant Sammy K. Farrell

Master Sergeant Sammy K. Farrell, USAF, Retired of Goldsboro passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at noon at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.

Mr. Farrell was born in Wake County on January 4, 1943 to the late Henry Walter Farrell and Mary Sears Farrell. 

He is survived by his wife, Yupin Farrell; four sons, John, Bobby (Chanda), Joseph (Mary Lou) and Tony (Alicia); one daughter, Areya (Tyler Edwards); one brother, Gordon Henry Farrell of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other special friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Farrell was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Faye Stanley and her husband, L. J. Stanley and his sister-in law, Barbara Jean Farrell. 

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
