Eldress Mildred McLaurin Ross, 71, of LaGrange went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville with her daughters at her bedside.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
Mrs. Ross was born in Wayne County on January 14, 1950 to the late James H. and Maybelle Kornegay McLaurin. She was a member of Central Heights FWB Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Bunnie Gardner (Adrian) of LaGrange and Christi Dawson of Goldsboro; one sister, Cynthia M. (Gabriel) Whitfield of Goldsboro; four brothers, Demarcus of Goldsboro, Kelton (Deloris) of Garner, Ronald (Cathy) of Goldsboro and James (Thelma) McLaurin of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Latiqua, O’Teria (Jaye) and Tamiya and one great-grandchild, Greysen; God-brother, Apostle Douglas L. Kornegay (Apostle Cynthia) of Goldsboro; God-daughter, Wilma Barnes (Ricky) of Goldsboro and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnic “Pete” Gray Ross.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
