Eddie Joe Mooring

Eddie Joe Mooring, 66, of Fremont passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 05, 2020 at 6 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 06, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.

Mr. Mooring was born in Wayne County on July 20, 1954 to Lois Raye Holland Mooring and the late James David Mooring.  He served his country in the Army National Guard.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Mooring is survived by his wife, Marcia Mooring; one son, Mark Allen Mooring of Fremont; two daughters, Karen Howell and husband, Shawn of Fremont and Crystal Mooring of Florida; one step-son, Matthew Quick of Raeford; two step-daughters, Daphane Dilbeck and husband, Matt of Georgia and Stephanie Herring and husband Donald; He also has eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter he adored.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
