Dr. Adrian E. Tilton

Dr. Adrian Earl Tilton, 89, of Goldsboro passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 at his home.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 4 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Goldsboro.  The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 3 p.m.  Burial will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh at a later date.

Dr. Tilton was born in Wayne County on October 19, 1932 to the late Wiley Ford Tilton and Mildred Dixon Tilton.  He was raised in Raleigh and attended Needham Broughton High School and graduated from Hugh Morson High School.  He served two years in Kora as a military policeman.  Dr. Tilton graduated from Los Angeles City College and the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and lived there for 40 years there in California.  Dr. Tilton has been a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a member of Tujunga Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his special great-nephews, Britt Thompson and wife, Dona of Florida and Chris Thompson and wife, Kimberly of High Point; a great-niece, Neva Thompson of Goldsboro and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
