Denise Godwin Minshew

Denise Godwin Minshew, 67, formerly of Eureka received her ultimate healing Sunday morning, January 29, 2023 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.  A private burial will be held at Eureka Cemetery.

Denise was born in Wayne County on March 21, 1955 to the late James Travis and Sadie Hartley Godwin.  Throughout her years residing in Eureka and her health permitted, she worshipped along with her husband at Heart of David Ministries in Eureka, Patetown Church of God and United in Christ Church.  She will be missed by all.  

She is survived by her loving sister, Elaine Saucier of Columbia, South Carolina and three nieces, Tonya Davis, Dianna Arnold and husband, Michael and Kristy Hatem.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Minshew and her sister, Linda Ruth Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed any animal shelter in her memory.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
