Goldsboro- SMSgt. William Howard Anderson, 75, USAF, Retired, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held Friday, March 03, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends afterwards.

He was born on February 11, 1942 in Ramsey County, Minnesota to the late Victor H. Anderson and Laura Gildhart Anderson. 

SMSgt. William Anderson proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until his retirement. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

He is survived by two sons, John Anderson of Goldsboro and Douglas Anderson of El Segundo, California; three daughters, Ketrina Wheeler and husband, Timothy, of Goldsboro, Donna Abramchuk of Porterville, California and Dagny Harley of Eugene, Oregon; one sister, Judy Reynolds of Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wife, Norma Forman Anderson and a daughter, Melinda Busby.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
