Thelma Beasley Armstrong, 86, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses on Eleventh Street in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends afterwards.
Mrs. Armstrong was born in Currituck County, NC on September 12, 1931 to the late Ernest and Estelle Swain Beasley. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
She is survived by three sons, Henry Clay Armstrong and wife, Brenda of Zebulon, James Bill Brewer Jr. and wife, Mary of Statesville, NC and Freddy Arnold Brewer and wife, Pat of Elizabeth City; one daughter, Patricia Hankins and husband, Ronald of Goldsboro; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her first husband, James Bill Brewer Sr., her second husband, Clayton Luther Armstrong; one daughter, Teresa Jo VanAulen; two brothers, Shelton Beasley and William Beasley and a sister, Beulah Whitmire.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
