Mt. Olive- Terry Dean Person, 63, laid down to rest from his long journey here on earth and was carried away peacefully by angels into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

He was born in Wayne County on September 19, 1952 to the late William Terry Person and Julia Underhill Person.

Terry will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and brother. He had a love for cats and was very talented making models of old cars and different items with his hands.  He was a member of May's Chapel Church and will be truly missed.

He is survived by one son, Chris Person and wife, Amy of Mt. Olive; three grandchildren, Taylor, Hayden and Grayson Person; one brother, Leonard Person and wife, Cyndi of Dudley;  step-mother, Dot Person of Mt. Olive and step-sister, Vicki Kidd and husband, Randy of Mt. Olive.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at May’s Chapel Church in Dudley.  The family will receive friends following the service.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
