Snow Hill- Ruby Joyce Whitley Richardson, 80, of Snow Hill went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her home.

Homegoing services will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Long's Plant Farm Road in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mrs. Richardson was born in Greene County on January 28, 1937 to the late Roland David and Nina Kearney Whitley.  She was a faithful member of Fort Run Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Joseph “Joe” Thomas Richardson and two sons, Mark Thomas Richardson and wife, Tracy of Clayton and Jeffery Allan Richardson and wife, Shoshanna of Clayton; three brothers, Raven Whitley and wife, Faith of Kinston, Bobby Whitley and wife, Shirley of LaGrange and Douglas Whitley and wife, Deanna of Shines Crossroads; two sisters, Evelyn Williams of Wilson and Helen Kennedy and husband, Johnny of Spring Hope and four grandchildren.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
