Rajarao Mattegunta

Rajarao Mattegunta, 79, went to his heavenly home Monday, February 05, 2018 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

Homegoing services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at New Life Baptist Church in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.  A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Springfield Cemetery in Sykesville, Maryland.

Mr. Mattegunta was born in India on August 07, 1938.  He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Sykesville, Maryland before moving to Goldsboro.  Mr. Mattegunta then moved his membership to New Life Baptist Church in Goldsboro.

He is survived by his two loving daughters, Dr. Suneetha Mattegunta of Goldsboro and Agnes Mattegunta, RN, MSN of Raleigh and one grandson, Aamir Noel Castelino.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mattegunta was preceded in death by his wife, Dr. Ethel Malathi Mattegunta.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
