Phong Wright, 72, passed away Monday, January 08, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  A graveside service will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 9 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wright was born in Thailand on January 26, 1945 to the late Chang and Mo Bumrungkul. She was retired from Goldsboro News-Argus and attended Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Chapel.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Edwin Wright.

She is survived by two sons, Jelikel Bumrungkul and wife, Raven of New York and David E. Wright and wife, Artcha of California; one daughter, Cherry Tindoc of California and six grandchildren.

The family is the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
