Pearl Mae Millard Edwards, age 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday morning, November 20, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. 

Homegoing service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation afterwards.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.

After raising her children at home, she went to work at J.P. Stevens for many years.  Later, she shared her love for cooking with her customers at the Curb Market.  She was a member of the Belfast Pentecostal Holiness Church for 59 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Allen Edwards. 

She is survived by her children, Jackie E. Sallee and husband, Butch, Connie E. Hobbs and husband, Dock, and James Ira Edwards and wife, Connie; grandchildren, Tracey S. Davis and husband, Dolton, Shelley S. Hughes and husband, Matthew, Chris Hobbs and wife, Jamie, Kelley Ridgle and husband, James, Lisa Crocker and husband, Michael, and Curtis Hobbs and fiancé, Sharen Tovar; great-grandchildren, Lauren Davis, Blake Davis, Holden Ridgle, Kristen Ridgle, Tyler Thompson, Abby Crocker, Dalton Hughes, Alexa Crocker, Garrett Hughes, Kaitlyn Ridgle, Jonathan Ridgle, Pearl Tovar-Hobbs, Alana Hobbs, Winston Tovar-Hobbs, and Josiah Ridgle; and sister-in-law, Margaret Millard.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Ira and Lessie Strickland Millard; brothers, Clarence Millard, Arnold Millard, Carl Millard, Rufus Millard, Elbert Millard, Elton Millard; and sister, Louise Gregory.

A special thank you to Betty Washam and Ada Suggs who provided excellent care for several years.  Flowers are welcome but memorial contributions can be made to Belfast Pentecostal Holiness Church.
