Mavis Grice, 94, passed went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living in Goldsboro.

Homegoing service will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory.  Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 2:45 p.m.

Mrs. Grice was born in Johnston County on April 5, 1923 to the late Howard and Ella Hinnant Brewer.  She was a member of Holts Pond Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her sons, Dan Grice and Larry Grice and wife, Michelle; five daughters, Peggy Lambert and husband, Leroy, Linda Smith and husband, Shelton, Patricia Ann Glover and husband, Joe, Joyce Stevens and husband, Jerry and Wilma Garrison and husband, Peter; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Grice; sons, Charles and Howard Grice, and her daughter-in-law, Peggy Grice.
