Maggie Allen Melton, who recently celebrated her 74th birthday on September 2nd, transitioned to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.  Maggie was born September 2, 1942 in Duplin County to the late George and Christine Graham Allen.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jerry Melton, Sr and two children: Angela Melton and Jerry Melton, Jr.  She is survived by three children: Eduardo (Sharion) Melton, Christine Melton, and Christopher Melton, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.  

Family will receive guests at the family home located at 66 Silver Stirrup Court, Willow Springs, NC on Thursday and Friday, September 22 and 23 starting at 6:00 PM.

The Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Goldsboro Events Center, 1501 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro NC 27530.
