Karen Frances Covar, 61, passed away Wednesday, January 05, 2017 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Goldsboro.  Burial will follow at Pikeville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.

She is survived by her father, Charles Covar and wife, Barbara of Goldsboro; a special friend who was like a sister to her, Kay Poe; three brothers, William Covar of Florida, Charles Covar and wife, Sheila of Pikeville and Christopher Covar and wife, Mary of Charlotte; one sister, Laura Connors and husband, Kevin of Florida, a host of nieces and nephews and a great-aunt to four nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Covar.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
