James Howard Pittman, 54, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at home.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.

Mr. Pittman was born in Wayne County on December 31, 1962 to the late William and Emma Lee Gurley Pittman.  He was a former employee of O’Berry Center.

He is survived by his wife, Eva P. Pittman and four children, William, Shawn and James Jr; a daughter, Patrice; one brother, Jerry Pittman and wife, Kay; and two sisters, Janet Quinn and Judy Spicer and husband, John.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
