He was born in Alabama on February 13, 1939 to the late Auston and Clarice Geer Hannah.  He was retired from the United States Air Force and retired with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.  He was founder of the Jerry Hannah Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. where he traveled throughout the United States preaching, teaching and singing and spreading the Gospel of our Lord and Savior.  In 1977, he was one of the founders of Free Life Ministries, Inc. / WHFL- TV in Goldsboro where he was faithfully involved as a board member and programmer, as well as hosting the television's annual telethon.  He was actively involved in the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International and served as pastor of numerous churches throughout his years of service to the Lord.  Although he served as Pastor, Reverend, Evangelist and Ordained Minister with the Southern Baptist and the International Pentecostal Holiness Denomination, his ministry of music touched thousands throughout his life.  He was an encourager to those in need and will be missed by all.  Evangelist Jerry is now singing the songs of Zion in the Heavenly Choir.
