Ellen Faye "Byrd"  Radford, 72, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

Byrd was born November 29, 1943 to the late James Burden "J.B." and Alice Minshew Radford.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Johnny Keith Newsome (Leah); three brothers, Johnny Radford of Saulston, Jerry Radford and wife, Judy of Rosewood and Billy Radford and wife, Janel of Princeton; one sister, Brenda Radford; three grandchildren, Adam, Alexandria and Tyler; and five grandchildren, Damian, Avia, Ariah, Letti  and Chase and one on the way.

At her request, there will be no formal service.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
