Dudley-  Elizabeth Powell, 74, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Powell was born in Sampson County, NC on September 23, 1941 to the late Braston and Peralie Jones. 

She is survived by her husband, Allen Powell, Sr.; one son, Allen C. Powell, Jr. and wife, Sherrie of Goldsboro; two daughters, Patricia Womble and her husband, Johnny of Goldsboro and Melissa Powell of Texas; five grandchildren, Anthony Womble, Rebecca Adams, John Womble, Morgan and Kristen Powell and five great-grandchildren, Patrick, Blake and Cierra Womble and Holden and Lucas Adams.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Mausoleum chapel at Wayne Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Jones Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1049 Country Club Road, Mount Olive, North Carolina 28365.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
