Fremont-Mary Edna Bogue, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church in Pikeville where she was a member.  Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 1:45 p.m. in the church sanctuary. 

Mrs. Bogue was a native of Wayne County born on July 27, 1924 to the late Jesse and Thelma Price Crumpler.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William Henry Bogue and her brother, Larry Crumpler and his wife, Georgia.

She had been an active member of Northern Lights Extension and Community Association and Mt Carmel United Methodist Women.  

Mrs. Bogue is survived by her daughter, Teresa Davis and husband, Elton of Mount Olive; son, Ronnie Bogue and wife, Nancy of Fremont; brothers, Carlton Crumpler and wife, Arlene of Goldsboro and J. R. Crumpler of Georgia; five grandchildren, Ginny Sauls and husband, Michael, Sterling Schupp, Mary Channing and husband, Jay, Kelly Guy and husband, Chris and Ashley Graham and husband, Elliott and eight great-grandchildren, Aliya, Will, Tanner, Cain, Caleb, Aubrey, Mason and Ella Wright.

Although flowers are welcome memorial contributions may be directed to Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 10, Pikeville, NC 27863. 

The family would like to thank Country Side Village and Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the wonderful care they provided.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine Street in Fremont.
