Edna Battle Obituary
Mrs. Edna Matthews Battle, 89, 455 Miller’s Chapel Road, Goldsboro, transitioned to a beautiful blooming rose in the Master’s Bouquet early Thursday morning, October 17, 2019 at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.
She is survived by her sons, Mel Ott Battle (Shelbia), Keith Battle (Antionette), and Cassius Battle; daughters, Carole Battle and Oteria Bell (Daniel); brother, Willard Matthews (Doris); 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and many loving and devoted relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at high noon at Woods Chapel UAFWB Church, 928 East New Hope Road, Goldsboro. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in the Baldwin Cemetery, Powell Road, Elroy Community.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2019 at Howell Funeral Home, 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro and at other times at the home residence, 455 Miller’s Chapel Road, Goldsboro.
