Geneva Doris Adams Petrak, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, February 3, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral service will be held Monday, February 6, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Goldsboro where she was a member.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Burial will be held at Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.

Doris was born in Wayne County on September 29, 1939 to the late Edward Braxton and Effie Strickland Adams.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ned. V. Petrak; one son, James Price of Seven Springs; one daughter, Jackie Price Mallam of Seven Springs; three step-daughters, Patty Lynn Sartin and husband, Terry of Greensboro, Peggy Sue Petrak of Vanceboro and Margie Yvette Brooks and husband, Frank of Oregon; one brother, Morris Adams and wife, Dorothy of Seven Springs; one sister, Judy Davis of Goldsboro; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
