Goldsboro- Clifton Arthur Stallings, 73, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at home surrounded by his family and close friends.

All services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Stallings was born in Wayne County on May 15, 1944 to the late Luby Caswell Stallings and Lena Willis Stallings.  He served in the United States Navy having served in Vietnam.  Mr. Stallings was a dedicated truck driver for over 35 years and the patriarch of his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, June Stallings; one daughter, Carrie Dean and husband, Tommy of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Thomas Dean and wife, Lanie and Lauren Dean and three great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Warner, Paisley Dean and Gunner Dean.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stallings was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Stallings.
