Charles Raymond Lofton Jr., 64, of Seven Springs passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care.  

A time of viewing will be held, Friday, November 17, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will be present from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. A homegoing service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.

Charles was born in Lenoir County on October 11, 1953 to the late Bishop Charles R. Lofton Sr. and Alice Greenfield Lofton.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his loving wife, Matilda Pearsall Lofton; three daughters, two brothers and one sister.
